Receiver Question
#1
Hey guys,
I have a Futaba 4PL radio with 2 R210GF receivers. I just picked up a 3rd car and don't have a 3rd receiver yet. Is it possible to pull one of my receivers from one of my other cars and set it to a new model on my radio so I don't have to switch all the settings I have programmed for the first car?
I'd basically be using one receiver for two different cars with different settings for each car. Will this work or not?
I should add I intend to get another receiver but was just wondering if I could do this for the time being?

Yes it should work for ya.
I know that with my Airtronics tx/rx, it isn't specifically binding the channel/ model # on the transmitter with a specific receiver, it is just binding the receiver to the transmitter in general. therefore, this allows you to use the receiver with multiple cars, and as you suggested, just create a channel on the transmitter for each car. Just make sure you only have one vehicle turned on at a time otherwise you will be driving more than one vehicle (i've done that before!!)

I think plane/heli radios are specific model to rx (on some futaba and airtronics models, but mostly the higher end ones), and spectrum is specific model to rx.
I dont belive Futaba does this with there surface radio's though

Yes it will work without any problem.
The FHSS receiver only binds to the radio and not the model designation. In other words you can set any number of models and use the same receiver in each one without resetting anything.
