I'm happy with what I have. Just saying at my local track softer compounds like red BK Bars work better than gold bar codes or mc suburbs. His stuff is pretty aggressive. It stinks, but works great

I have, definetly a huge improvement on there tires in the past. Compounds feel great and mount up almost better than any tire i have mounted in the past.

Can anyone tell me what avid springs they have tried in truck? What has worked similar to the blue/green combo.

I know the spring rate needs to be slightly stiffer so just curious what people have found.

Our track is gold barcodes for buggy but almost all the trucks are running switch 2.0s. They work really well.

My T4.1 keeps popping ballcups. They fall off real easy if i land wrong. Is this a common problem? I have other open wheel cars I race and dont have this same problem. I have tried AE cups with FT buckles and RPM cups with Lundsford buckles. What can I do here? I am lucky to make it through a race. Front seems fine its always in the rear.

Quick update for anyone interested in the rcrd chassis. It's been a while since I've run my T4.1, but raced this past weekend. It's setup with the rcrd +4 chassis which I don't like at all with a full size pack. I have my new batteries (2250mAh 3s) which I can move around to get the balance I want, and have everything laid out inline. I can tell you that it is as close to a perfect setup (for me) as I can get. It's as light and nimble as the plastic, more durable, and I can still make a 10min main. I am quite happy and would not steer anyone away from this chassis if you don't mind running a smaller pack. Here is a pic of the current setup.

I know it goes a few pages back, but here is where my probe is located for the motor, and the speedo one is just in front of the motor wire posts on the speed.

I havent. Are the stock ones bad? Do they wear out fast? I built the car about a month ago and have been to the track a handful of times. It has always been a problem.

Any of them are going to kind of bite if you have popped them off quite a bit, the stock ones in particular. Some folks replace them after they pop them off a couple of times. I eventually just switched the RPM cups and I rarely pop them off.

RPM ball studs will help
Or
You can run the 65mm 4mm Turnbuckles off the SC10 4x4 in the rear.
I did this on my sons. The look cool and are super strong.

I ended up using a 1410 3800 motor. I hate it.

Used it for 2 days... IT came out last night. lol

truck seems to handle well with the stock springs, ended up installing a gear diff with 5k oil.

I got a set of the Avid front truck springs. ---Yes Jeff S. I got them at the hobby shop... there ran out of rear truck springs and going to be installing a 10.5 .. the truck class here is all a mod class. no spec motor as of yet
Why do you hate the motor?

to much throttle needed to get it going around the turns at the track I race at.

This was a while ago though

I have a 13.5T and a 7.5T for it now.

I am faster with the 13.5T with timing/boost though.

the 7.5T is just fun as hell to play with.

they can wear, especially in a dusty surface from what I have seen in the past.

Another option I have seen someone do is used the captured ball ends like how the sc10 4x4 does. I don't know though what parts he used exactly to do it, but that eliminated the problem for him.
