Has anyone tried out the Jconcepts goosebumps? Our new track is very similar to a baseball infield in texture so it's pretty slick. Thinking about ordering those and some IFMAR pins to try out.

how packed is the surface?

If the ifmar pins are something you feel may work, you may like the Flip outs better as they appear to be a lower tread Goosebump. For me at least, I liked the goose bumps when the track was a bit softer so they could bite more. Ifmar pins when it was too soft for a double dee / holeshot style tire that would load up.

Hey guys. I finally ran my T4.1ft at the track it was very pushy. I'm running box stock setup but I did switch to inline front axle it make the car more precise sharper offpower turning but on power the truck just pushes.I run a Gen aces 5300 30c lipo in the middle. I had a old t4 ft(carbon) and that box setup but it was running the proline m3 over the t4.1 jconcepts. The track is a hard pack clay indoor very little dust...I'm guessing blue groove but not sure. Had a blackish blue color and hard as concrete LOL.

Are we correct in assuming the tires being ran are the right ones up front for the surface?

I probably would first look at tires. Next, I probably would find a setup other than the box one on AEs site. Unfortunately, the out of the box setups I have personally never had the best luck with from AE.

Everything is what the kit includes. I have the Cravers in the correct direction. I build my kits with precision and attention the detail. I see someone mention Ryan setups but I cant find it.

okay that makes sense.

You will want a different tread pattern than those carvers.

I would ask around your track for the hot tire choice and buy those.

go here for setups:

the top layer is pretty loose and dusty like a baseball field. Underneath the sandy stuff is hard as a rock. Double Dees just kick up serious roost with little traction. Our first race isn't until the 20th, so no one really has any idea what the proper tire will be yet. I've got Double Dees, Calibers, and Suburbs, was thinking I needed something that would bite more so my truck does less skating around.

edit: Here's a pic

What tires you guys running on indoor clay? When its high bite I use suburbs MC compound and they hookup great. But lately it has been dry and dusty and they are just not performing. Whats a better tire I can use for a dry dusty indoor clay track?

I might try 4 degree toe instead of the 3 degree I am currently running.

Try losi BK bars in super soft pink or subs in super soft. I love em!

My tires of choice ar proline calibers and gladiators. They both seem to work well for me on most dirst surfaces.

Been running the goosebumps in the rear, still looking for sugestions for the front. The ribs seem to push and slip to much!

I prefer double dee's up front or suburbs instead of ribs.

Try red bk bars. They're working good for me and last at least 3 race weekends. I run the stock yellow. foams in front and and1 in back. 4 degrees of toe in too.
