I just listed my great shape FT T4.1 for sale for cheap. Has AVID steering bellcranks and a nice custom body and a couple sets of wheels and tires.

If this class continues to grow at a steady pace we'll be seeing more and more tread options from the different manufacturers.

The tire selection for this is kinda pathetic isn't it. I'd love to see what I have available for my buggy also available for my T4. If they build them, we will buy them.

Would love to see 3d's for truck. 3d's on buggy are AWESOME! Hopefully selection will get better. I see JC is coming out with pressure points for truck as well.

I would really like to have some green bar codes. My indoor track likes any bar pattern tire. The softer the better and tire wear doesn't really matter to me cause slicks work pretty good too. I kind of hope panther makes rattlers for truck too.

In the Jconcepts thread PW said they were looking in to doing green. They probably never did because some clay tracks are pretty abrasive and up until about 6 months ago truck was pretty dead. The track I race at is easy on tires but softer works way better. I've tried gold and proline mc which are supposed to be indoor clay tires and they grip ok but take forever to break in.

Gil Losi from AKA takes his nephew to our track a lot (SDRC) and I asked him about tires for truck. At one time he seemed into releasing more for us, but now its been nearly 3 weeks and I haven't been able to get into a single race. The class is all but dead again here it seems. I also am sadly seeing a ton of for sale threads pop up over on socal-rc for 22T and T4's.

Where is SDRC? I grew up in North County, back then it was always a struggle to keep offroad going. I helped run a parking lot track in Escondido and we always had 60 to 80 entries but DHW and the short lived Hobbytown indoor track we were lucky to have 30 or 40.

Out here in TN we are seeing a lot more interest as guys look for a place to move from SCT. We get on average 15 buggies and 12 stadium trucks, short course has actually fallen off a bit and its mostly new guys running them. I hope it picks up for you guys.

Give sticky kicks compound a try in Roja (the most agressive) compound on your tires. It may give you the softness you need.

If you know any of those with the vehicles who are selling, can you find out what reasoning they have?

Out here, I think 2wd truck will have more of a chance as the tracks are definitely 1/8 oriented and a lot of the fast guys and regulars don't like 2wd SCTs at all.

SDRC is new, been here for just a year now this month. The indoor track is up by Miramar and the out door is next to the cricket ampatheatre in Chula Vista. http://www.sdrcraceway.com

Most of the guys I know selling them are doing it because at the indoor track we run at 2WD stock buggy is huge, so they dont race them and we lose out on a chance to form a heat. Mine has sat the last three race weekends on my pit table because no one shows up. The good thing about it for me is I can get cheap parts for mine and they share with the SC10 so much I buy em all up!

A lot of us race 1/8 buggy here and 4x4 or 2WD mod SC, so getting a 3rd class in on a race night is tough. My personal feelings are to run Mod truck and 1.8 scale if I can, but I get stuck doing Mod 2WD SC and 1.8 buggy most nights.

kind of like out here too. 2wd Mod SC is pretty popular at the indoor track I run at, but, when summer comes a lot of the guys are a higher skill level and are old school and are just not feeling the 2wd SCT thing. A few though like 4x4 SCT so that should see some growth.

I am a buggy man at heart, and when they ran 1/10 2wd electric as a mix I would run my 1/10 buggy, but on the really big tracks, just wayyy too big to be effective when its getting blown out by 1/8s .

Thanks for the recommendation but I use Reino's Ragu. A local racer makes it and X Factory sells it too. It works really well and I like supporting a local small business. He makes a marinade too, put tires in a zip lock bag overnight and they are goo balls. Works really good in the winter when its sometimes 40 degrees in the track room.

if that's the case then maybe you need to see if he has or can make anything stronger since you are wanting to go to a softer compound anyway or am I missing something as you said softer is better and if his stuff makes them goo balls, not sure how much softer you want them?
