Clockwork Racing Engines and Products...

I couldn't drive it with the tire half on so I pulled in the pits and had Nick rip the rest off and sent me back out.

Ran in our anual "Intergalactic Buggy" race this weekend and was sporting my CRE BTTA in Buggy and Bonito in Truggy.
In Buggy, the engine ran flawlessly. Had plenty of low end pop to really pull out of the tight 90 degree corners on the very tight and terchnical track. Unfortunatelly my throtle servo gave up its ghost and my buggy run came to and end after only two Qualifiers
. I will say that I managed to blow the front two tires completely off the bead at the end of Q2 and I should have some pictures to post soon
The Bonito was completely insane in my truggy
There was a nice feature on the track that went as follows: flat out down a 110 ft straight then into a 90 degree right hander that had an elevation drop of about 3 and 1/2 feet, then a quick double that abbruptly put you into a 90 degree left. You then hav a about a 4 ft run up into the "feature" triple. This triple is about 22ft in length and if you miss, you will thin out your spare parts availablity quickly.
The Bonito allowed me to consitently clear the triple without incident. In fact, I was told my many bistanders that I was the ONLY nitro guy doing it. This gave me a disctinct advantage over the field, all of whom had to single, double this area. It also made for some spectacular mid air passes that had my fellow competitors on the driver stand laughing in amazement
CRE engines really do provide a real world track advantage and I feel sorry for everyone else who runs "boring" engines.
Now if only I could get my driving skills CLOCKED.......

That was just awesome, then you just kept going undaunted! Both engines were just screaming on the track and you knew it was him without physically seeing it. You could have made it an interesting main with pitstop strategy had you been able to stay.

I am still breaking in my Clocked Novarossi 28-7T that I purchased last season.
My LHS has changed their fuel line up.
They are now carrying Sidewinder (30% Nitro & ?% Oil) and Odonnell's Speed Blend (30% Nitro & 8% Oil).
Is there any danger to switching to either of these fuels?

I would not run either of those fuel in that engine...... you will likely have issues if you do........
