Default Losi Manuel

download the losi manual for the car you are using. The Book stock Set up is a great place to start. Clutch Set up. Then learn " what is best for your driving" later. Learn to drive it first. Just my 2 cents.

I've replaced the rear rod ends and balls as they were very worn and it took a little slop away but still way more than any of my other losi's. I then tried new hubs and bearings, new wheel hexes, and nothing changed. The rim hexes are fine and I even tried new wheels, the only thing I could think of is the dogbone cvd's are worn a little thin and creating the slop..... any ideas?
Yea same here done everything you did and more. You'll be able to clean up some of the slop but not all. Both my buggy/truggy have considerable slop and I think you'll just have that. You find slop in all makes.

Congrats Bus.
Man we were in the same class at the same race and didn't meet each other. LOL. My truck was feeling great. I think I qualified 3rd, not sure. But I had engine trouble in the main. Kept stalling and spent several laps in pit lane trying to fix it. I finished the race but was way, way back in the A. I think that engine just needs a new front bearing. Never had one lick of trouble at all the out of state races but the engine is at or past 4 gallons..so it's due.

Check the wheel hexes. Take one off and see if the sholder that goes against the outer bearing in the hub is worn down and shinny. Dont try and shim it. You will start blowing out bearings if you do. Replace them. Just some experiance from running years of losi. You can pick up a full set from e-bay cheap.

Thanks, just fought the track/truggy all weekend. It just came together for me on race day. First time racing a truggy and first time with that truggy. Just got it built a few weeks ago never had a chance to get it on the track.

What a blast truggy's are. Cant wait to race it again.

Yea for sure need to start meeting/learning names. Its just got your head all in racing and your vehicles at the race you sometimes forget to get to know your fellow racer! Hopefully ill see you up here at Fastlane for the 2 nd round.

Just changed out bearings. Ill take a look at a brand new wheel hex to compare mine dont look worn but then again cant recall looking at a brand new one. Both of my nitro's are used when I bought them.

See my post above from a while back. The Xray 808 aluminum hubs are a perfect fit on the Losi's and they get rid of a majority of the typical Losi wheel slop. They are a little more expensive than the Losi hubs, but I've had them on both my buggy and Truggy for over 2 years now and they're still perfect and I still have hardly any wheel slop.

I remember Frank L doing this a couple years ago with great success, I now have a few pairs sitting on my bench waiting for the Losi's go go the way they normally do.

Default clutch bells

Guys - what clutch bells are most of you running? I noticed that the standard losi clutch bell doesn't particularly like the the werks clutch. It left masses of lumpy build up with the inside of the bell. Will any standard after market bell just bolt straight on??? I run the ascendancy bells on my RC8b and they seem to work really well.

Wish I had a better answer for you than to just try other bells. I ate up a brand new Losi " longer lasting " bell myself this past weekend. Going to give Protek a try.
