It seems logical that Savox designed their servos around gas cars with receiver packs, which can provide all kinds of instant current. The problem seems to be magnified around the use of Spectrum receivers.

Your Tekin RX8 has a 6volt 5amp internal BEC.

Now, all of the guys at my local track swear by Savox. Most of the 4x4 guys run the RX8 and the pro4. Almost all of them run Spektrum radios. I have not heard or seen of any brown out issues when endpoint are set correctly. When you have your brownout issues how long has the truck been running? Are you close to LVC?

My truck only browned out when the endpoints were less than 100%
Running %115 with a glitch buster and no brownouts.

Raising the outer = lowering the inner.

If you'd like to read more on the topic, try Puhn's book "How to Make your Car Handle" here. I have a hard copy of this book that I've owned for 20 years. I probably ought to get off the interwebs and re-read it, just for kicks.

All the recievers have a different tolerance for what voltage drop they'll take before they brown out. The guy who runs my local track was having Spectrum problems with a Novak speed control (aka robust BEC), and a non Savox servo, browning out at about 5 minutes of track time. I suggested he swap the receivers to a spare, and that fixed it.

Then he put a lap on me with his Hyper TT.

Thanks! I'll take a read. Here's what I have read about it though.
High Roll Center: (front) >>>>>>>>> Makes front wash out causing “push”.
High Roll Center (rear) >>>>>>>>> Makes the car looser washing out the rear.
Camber link low on tower =
Roll center is raised =
For bumpier / slippery tracks

Low Roll Center: >>>>> Increases steering into corner
Camber link high on tower = >>>>> Increases stability coming out of corner
Roll center lowered = >>>>> Reduces roll over feeling
Smoother / high speed tracks

So basically with Roll Center you’re either looking for: (in the 2 extremes) ---
1. Stability – (Low Roll Center)
2. Responsiveness – (High Roll Center)

On the front I find my sweet spot is 3mm on the inside and 1mm on the outside.

On the hotracing rear hubs the lower holes are stock so if you want to run the upper set of holes with the inner ball raised it is an easy do with out the added carbon part.

Thanks!
Are the hotracing hubs any good?

Me too. I prefer the:
Raising gives more rear traction... etc.
But I couldn't find that.
Also, say you had one shim outside and four inside, would that be the same a 3 inside?

lol three posts in a row.
What do you guys use to shim the ballstuds? the .5mm ones associated sells don't seem like they will cu it for 5mm spacing. Will the shock limiters or wheelbase shims work?

You can use ballstud washers or ballstud washers.
