dont forget the grease on the outdrive shafts and on the o-rings.

Have you guys seen the fironi diff housing? It's close to $80! I know fironi stuff is expensive & I shouldn't be shocked, but I am! I mean c'mon man!

There description of why there product is better than stock is pretty funny!!

"Eliminate the risk of a blown differential due to a warped or worn out differential case!"

I actually works for some cars, but it's unnecessary on the 8.2.

I have a good friend who is a pro driver running Losi that swears it's what cured his rear-diff-munching.

Is anyone else having an issue with the front end bottoming out/grinding? After five days at the track the A plate is halfway ground down on its corners, and therefore the chassis front corners. I've also come to realize the stock bumper is crap. So I've modified a MBX-6 bumper to make it work. I love the way this car handles, but I'm almost ready to sell this thing and get a MBX-6E. Starting to feel a little sketchy on AE's quality of parts.

The DE front bumper is money! The stock front bumper isn't that good. I've had good luck with the quality of stock parts...maybe I've been lucky? I run mine mostly indoor though...

So is everyone going back to the original B plate?

My car is a conversion. Originally a rc8be it now has the worlds upgrade kit, a BCE +3mm chassis, new rear sway bar, and the lower B plate.

I bought the tie-rods and stuff to change the steering rack but forgot to get the steering rack itself somehow. So right now its setup bellcrank rack and new B-plate.

I havent run it since changing to the new (now old) parts so I dont even know what to expect. Should I buy the old B plate or the steering rack?

I was thinking of doing the rest of the conversion by putting on 8.2 arms, shock shafts and boots, towers but I think I would like to get some use of the parts I have on it now since its still like new. One thing I was thinking of changing now is the wing mount but looking at it last night I began to wonder if it would work with my taller worlds upgrade rear tower. Anyone know?

Ok so today I rebuilt my center diff in hopes of taking care of the leak it had. I used a new diff housing, lightly sanded it, replaced all o-rings (I had the old black o-rings, now they have clear o-rings, but still the little black o-rings on the outdrives), replaced the spur gear & I'm trying using 2 paper gaskets on the spur instead of 1, hopefully that won't harm anything. Now it's built & it feels good. When I installed the clear o-rings they actually felt like they sealed better than the black o-rings already. I did use black grease on all the o-rings & lightly on the paper gaskets. I'm hoping to see NO oil sprayed on the inside of my body...if I see just a tiny bit I'll still be happy with it .

I think it's up to what you like...some of the team guys still use the old b plate, some use the new one. I'm using the new b plate, like how my car steers but I haven't tried the old b plate back to back yet.

Do you mean the D8 bumper? I'll have to take a look at it. Any Idea about reducing the front end bottoming out? I believe its all due to a "triple" at my local track that I've found to be faster, and much more consistent to take as a "double-single". I think the wear occurs when landing rom the double, and going up the face of the single. Thicker weights? More pre-load in the springs? I'm running the kyo springs, and the collars are run down .060" from the top on all for corners.

DE racing, they make a bumper for the rc8, it's way better than the stock bumper. What oil & pistons are you running?
