Much better protection for your engine...OD and Nitrotane are ess protective then the Werks...they both perform good, but will show much faster wear on the internals as opposed to the Werks fuel.....Werks will perform as good as the other two, but will show much slower wear on the internals

Castor oil being the key ingredient that offers that added protection. There are allot of good fuels out there but with the ballistic RPM's that CRE engines pull the coating of Castor oil will prevent all the metal components from grinding themselves to death. If you can't get Werks look for another brand that has some Castor oil in it and is not 100% synthetic oil.

Ok guys,,,, it is offical i now own and run a CLOCKED Nova engine. Not just any Nova engine, Neal did his first BUGGY specific mod on a P5xlt and ,,,,,,,,WOW !!!!!!
Neal and i have been talking for sometime now about a smoother power house for the buggy. I had mods done in the past by Neal on my OS motors and liked his professionalism and knowledge of engines. I finally got him to go against his religon and build something LESS wicked than the useual clocked BAD ASS
For anybody that has considered getting a Clocked engine for their buggy, well now there is one designed specificly for the buggy driver. I drove this motor today at Race World for 1 1/2 quarts and i am honestly VERY impressed !!!!! I have ran OS engines for 3+ years now and have ran their Pro mod, .21 speed vzb and Xz .21 speed, as well as the .19 XZ speed. That being said, this "Buggy" Clocked P5 xlt is as smooth as my speeds with way more top end and a VERY strong mid range. I ran it with the Nova 9886 pipe and the short smooth header with a 7mm restrictor, even after all day running this thing still has a ton of metal to metal pinch. Even with it having pinch and running the stock plug it was broke in on i was getting 13 min. 10 seconds per tank, this was a extremely dry slick very fast layout track. ( avarage laps were 17.5 not ideal for run time)
As this thing breaks and drops its nut$ i will post a follow up and let you know what the real run times will be.
Just ask Neal for the Buggy P5
Affordable and reliable with the performance that perfectly matches todays lightweight Buggies.

That is awesome to hear !!! realistically i expect that engine to pick up another 2 minutes of runtime...Your still using the hotter breakin plug and the engine will take a bit to loosen up...so it will not let you lean it down to its full potential till it loses its pinch and you drop in a cooler plug.....So expect runtimes to pick up a fair bit...............

I ran the P5 in my buggy yesterday and man that thing is night and day different than the BTTA. Much more aggressive and rev happy
With the right clutch setup, it would be killer on a grooved up, medium to high traction track in a buggy.Today will be some track testing and video of the Bonito in my truggy. Can't wait!

Good to hear Scott. You should also have him do a Nova BTT for you at some point. It is the definition of smooth and the best buggy engine I have ever had.

My buddy i travle with runs the plus 4 Nova and he drove my car back to back with his. He also says this thing is as smooth as his plus 4 but has more balls and alot more top end, i might add that the plus 4 Nova is the smootest motor Nova offers

You are going to love the Banito in your truck !! I have seen Neals Banito run a couple of times and it is wicked sounding.

My mess is my mess and I'm keeping my mess. I claim it proudly. Semi-organized of course.
Shinnbad12 I experienced the same thing when I did the recent switch from OS after a 4+ year OS only run. I w concerned that the mod would be too much insane power in the engine and not enough to the ground. I was very wrong. The power to the ground is better than the speed because there's more of it. I had 1 or 2 practice runs in at the DNC before the dirty fuel and I went puma tooth on both buggy and truggy. Let me tell you they didn't care at all. The power was insane but drive able. Unfortunately I had to rip the clock power out and run the speeds the rest of the week but I could defiantly tell the difference. I have dedicated to only running CRE for the 2012 season. I can't wait to get the purple clock ticking back in my cars again. The new TE serpent kit is on its way and will only tick to the CRE tock from day 1.

So i get a courtesy call last night with the sound of an engine buzzing in the background, "that's your RB, eh", lmao! That was a very nice end to a really bad work week. Thanks again John and Neal. Now about this timmies and Montreal noise, does Nick wear village people shirts?? Lol.

Today I finally ran the clocked bonito in my buggy and also i compared it to the fire 11 clocked.
The bonito was insane, WOW!! I am running it in a mbx6r buggy. Crazy! I had a lot of Clocked Engines. This one is one of the Top of all time. I started with a 14t clutch bell and 4 shoe M2C all weights in and .9's on all 4. And a 9886 pipe and 6.5 venturi. This thing was amazing, flying around the track, smoking .23 Alpha motors in a truck like nothing. So much power Bottom and Top! Then neal yelled at me and said don't use a small venturi so i put a 8mm and it just ran much better. Easier to tune, idle and of course more power!! I got more runtime as well. WIth the 6.5 i got 8mins, with the 8mm i got 9 1/2 mins. I can't wait to get a truggy, This motor is made for a truggy. I was very fun to have a crazy motor but controllable.
Then i put in the RB clocked fire 11, M2C clutch all weights but .95 springs and a 13t clutch bell same pipe 9886. The Bonito has more power but the fire11 was very close. The 9886 smoothed out the bottom but it pulled hard down the straight. I also took the stock rb carb off and put the os long needle carb in 7mm venturi and i got 10mins. But with the Rb carb i was only able to get 8mins. The long needle carb was a big improvement.
Both motors were amazing, Now the only problem is i can't decide what to race with next, Bonito or Fire?
Both are amazing, excellent Job on Both Neal!!!!!

^ Bad ass power is cool BUT,,,,,,,,, useable bad ass power is the best power to have. That being said, if you love Neal's motors you will appricate the Buggy P5. Its still a killer power house, its just smoother and more driveable power that dont unsettle the car. I feel this engine will fill the the need for the buggy driver that want more than the stocker but still wants a easy to tune, easy to drive reliable power house. *** a MUST have in your cloked arsonal***
ps. forgot to mention very good mpg's,,,,, 13+ min. on the first day with the wrong plug on a dry slick track and still tons of Pinch.
