Hi all. Im getting back into stadium trucks. My last one was a Losi XXT, and have run 1/8 buggy, rock crawlers for last several years. I dont have a lot of money, and found a nice T4. What is the difference between the T4 and T4.1? I will be using my trusty sidewinder sv2 for now, what motor do you recomend? I was thinking of 4600 or 5700. I will be running claw and accasionally bashing with my son. Thanks for your help.

The lugs are directional. If you check out the Y shaped lug in the middle of the tire you will get what I mean. With the Y facing one way, I found better traction when it was a big dusty. Facing the other direction I found more grip when our clay track got a bit wet. Unfortunately, I don't remember which way was which. Doesn't matter at this stage though. You just need to make sure you mount them up so the Y's are facing the right way and then you can swap them side to side to change the direction of the Y.

hey guys, thx for the prompt reply.
a little history: i bought this from someone used. i believe it was a t4 with some factory team upgrades. I have done quite some upgrades myself, like ft 4.1 shock bodies etc. I noticed that this truck was using the 2.5 deg toe in the rear. i went up to 3.5 and WOW what a difference for rear traction. I did have issues with the steering, but i super glued it. However, i am sure the caster and steering block is what ever that was on the t4. I ordered both 25deg, 30deg caster and both trailing and inline steering. I also ordered the "Ballast Weight". Where do i put this and what will this help with? Also, do you guys have any weight in the front?
note my thus far setup
30wt rear / 35 wt front
caster/steering block Not Sure
3.5 deg toe
rear tires: m3 proline suburbs
front tires: i just ordered m4 suburbs, but i was using ribs and hole shots in front... i wasn't happy
everything else is pretty standard.. h

Do you need more on or off power steering and what pistons/springs.

Oh, sorry.. i don't remember which pistons. I believe front springs are green. i can't recall rear springs.

no, the 0 deg. mostly everyone are running the new 22ts. and the few that has t4.1 aren't really sure the details. However, i think with the 30deg caster, inline steering, and m4 suburb fronts, i think that will be a HUGE difference. let me start with those changes and get back to you guys... thanks for all your help!

So I have decided to run a gear diff in my buggy and truck, starting at 3k (recomended by others at the track) wondering what going up or down in weight will do on these 2wd's every other gear diffs I had used 3 on one truck lol.
#538
actually, this is a good question btw. are u guys mostly running ball or gear diffs?

Right now I'm at 5k wt, this week I plan on mixing equal parts 7 and 5 to get me to 6k. 5k was still a little loose.
