Too bad about the 17mm wheel hexes... If most people run 12mm, they would have to buy seperate wheels and tires for this truck? Idk...

Hardly any of the trucks use the same wheels anymore now anyway. AE has stock and plus 3's, Durango has 14mm, Losi different off-set. .... You just get new wheels and run what you want to run.

I agree. There is no standard in 4x4 sc wheels. it seems they are almost all different.

You can get the 17mm adapters and run them on most of the 2w SC trucks out. That will let you use the XSCT wheel on your 2w SC too. I ran them on my SC10 for awhile before donating them to WBD.

After getting to see this truck a few times at the track I will be getting one if I decide to get a 4wd sct again.

What are the a arms made out of ? Are they molded fiber reinforced plastic , or CNC'd delrin ?

Looking at all of the CF parts and then custom arms and CVDs for all 4 wheels, Im thinking this is gonna be a pretty expensive kit. Im interested to hear more about the price.

Also, How will spare parts be handled? I assume I could order spares from the same place that will sell the kits? I know that my LHS wont be carrying parts for it so I would like to be able to order some key parts to have on hand just in case at the same time I would order a kit.



Good question. I'm wondering if these are molded arms or machined arms as well. I have to guess they will be machined. An injection mold would be pretty pricey

If I had the choice between the losi scte & the xsct, I'd go with the xsct...sounds like it may be more expensive to start with but from the jist I'm getting here there won't be as many upgrades needed...if any & coupled with xray quality that far surpasses losi's quality, it sounds like a winner. I've had xray touring cars & the xb8...all have been great kits, great builds, top notch.

Looks awesome!!! But at what cost?? If i have to buy a 500 doller buggy and then another 2or3 hundred for the conversion, that makes for a really high doller sc truck

buy a used one. the arms and suspension drive shafts get replaced, so there is not much left on the car to be worn out. For around $350, you could get all the car you need. Remember, you get what you pay for, so a cheap, ragged-out 808 could cost you more in the long run in replacement parts alone (ask me how i know )

you could even pony up a little more and get some spares in the deal

I would rather buy a sc kit and be done with then buying a new/used car and then spending more money putting the sc conversion on it. If its going to be that way then ill stick with my scte.
