Ran ae springs tonight and was 4 tenths faster on my hot lap run. And this is on a rough track. The only change was the springs. So you don't need em. If i go back it will be because they look cool

You can just dip them in as is and they will change to gold. However, unless the turnbuckles are new most people polish them and then dip them. If you get clever with the voltage and the time you leave it in for you can also get several other colors.

No I believe he has been running the BB, and decided to switch back. So he had a well enough baseline to tell the difference.

thanks guys
just like to ask what voltage/batteries did u use? also how much time did u leave them in, and if its possible to use a power supply of some sort instead of using batteries. does the voltage need to be a certain level, or can a single 9 volt do the job?

Correct. So bottom line is, just like many other changes, they arent faster, just different.

The voltage used it what produces the specific color, I cant remember exactly what voltage we used to get the gold effect but it was at least 5-6 9 volts wired together. The best way to do it is with a voltage regulator, this will allow you to fine tune the voltage to get the desired color. You arent going to get much life out of the 9 volts. check out this website:

For those of you running the BB springs are you using the TLR or Kyosho BB's? And what rates, I think I saw the mention of orange/silver fronts and yellow/white rears from TLR. Thanks!

There is a link to the info in bobbarry sig. Losi had been outta stock so some were forced to go with kyoshos outrageously priced springs. Losi is back in stock at amain and other places now

Default Tire tip

Yesterday I mounted up a fresh set of V2 Gold Bar Codes....

I reused a set of Pro-Line close cell inserts .

Before gluing, I installed a piece of duct tape , filling the inside middle section of the rim.

Used a piece of tape about a 1 1/2 ft long ...

This helps restore the foams profile & fills the airspace created from wear.

Performs awesome & saves you $ as you can get a extra cycle out of a set of foams...

you guys think the +8mm chassis makes a big difference? Does it make the car a little less aggressive? Also Im new to the electric side lol. I have a used ft b4.1 that I just bought. It has a lrp spx esc and I think a novak 7.5 motor. Think the 7.5 is way to over kill for me? The spx comp esc any good? Another dump question, It has a tekin lipo, I didnt know they make batteries but anyways its a 3400 23c. It this battery good enough? I have a 5000 40c think that would be better?

Was wondering which GHEA pistons I should get?

Also are the BB shocks being released by AE soon? Just wondering since I don't want to get the conversion parts if they will be released soon.
