The HHH chassis is also an option and might be easier to make work with the tork motor. It will also reposition the motor more like the ve8 and allow more battery location options.

What about risk of overheating as a result of the mod?

"No risk of overheating. I don't think there is much heat dissipation from the blocks in the first place. As long as your setup is within reason (not running 6s for 20minutes straight for example), it should be fine."

Grid away! Or buy another motor.
Pop off the lugs one at a time with a pair of pliers and then file it smooth. Only took about 45 minutes to do. Now the Tork motor fits comfortably in the Tekno mount. No issues with overheating whatsoever. Runs great.

Yeah my 2200 kv motor stays warm on 6s I'll be grinding down the heats sinks off the motor some pliers for snapping them off works well too the 1/8 mamba doesn't come with the fins anyways so I doubt there will be any overheating

Use the above if you want to run mech brakes...otherwise the vorza one will fit no dramas.

congrats. Feel free to post in the HPI Vorza thread, pretty much one stop shop for all D8 style conversions and vorza questions.

can you take a picture of what you are seeing and post?

Also, a measurement of your link would be helpful too. I am wondering if maybe the D8 nitro setup has a longer link than the vorza.
