I used a very fine sand paper that way it is hard to take two much off

Okay fellas. Finally made it to the shocks on my overhaul.

Thickness,
The black V2 spacer is 0.142 in. and 3.63mm....
The white spacer is 0.131 in. and 3.32mm...

Note: The white spacers have more room for movement in the shock.

Outer diameter,
Black spacer is 0.245 in. and 6.24mm
White spacer is 0.240 in. and 6.10mm

These measurements are rounded down. None of them diameter or thickness were the same but close enough I just split the difference.

My V2 shocks built standard were 6 race weeks and 2 practice nights old. They were swelled pretty tight and sticking if you let them sit for a bit. I will let ya know how the white spacers work out. Right now they are smooth as silk.

Pumped up pushed all the way in they repell 1/4 inch and pumped up pulled all the way out they pull back in 1/4 inch.
Setting the right height they felt very smooth and plush.

hey i just picked up a b44 and was wondering if any one was running sway bars on it. I'm running a novack 3s esc and a 8.5 ballistic motor any ideas on what i should do?

That depends a lot on the track and your driving style. If it's a smooth track with a blue-groove surface or carpet for example you'd probably find a stiff rear bar (and a front possibly) will help out.

Take a look at setup's of what the other 1/10 4WD guys are running at your track for a start on your own personal setup.

Personally I usually always have a rear on and depending on the situation will run a front (my carpet queen always has a front and rear on for example).

Im running a B44.1. I have configured it with the standard setup from the manual. With reference to the rear ride height, standard is 21mm. Now, the rear shock collars should be set at 1.7mm. This does not give me a rear ride height of 21mm. Particularly when I install the saddle pack lipos. The car is running rear end low.
At the moment I have the collars sitting at 8mm. Much more then what the manual states.
Does anyone have the same issue? How have you set your shock collars?

8 seems a bit high, but that is for an inside hole on the arm setup so you may be in the outside hole?
And those are just refs, use your ride height readings as the reading, but it should be to flat part of chassis without the undertray to make that measurement

Yep, double checked everything. Its on the inside hole. I just refilled my shocks again. I have managed to get it at 20mm rear ride hight using a 4mm spacing on the shock collar. Is 4mm reasonable compared to the 1.7mm stated? (I agree 8mm was a bit excessive before).
Im measuring ride height with the batteries in the car, no under tray and after dropping the car from about 25cm up.
I dont actually have a ride height measuing tool, im using my digital calipers as best i can.

There are a lot of differences with weights of batteries and other components that makes things different, but refilling shocks and gaining 4mm is a little curious. Measure out a toothpick or something with your calipers and try and use that as a good guide, I know using calipers can be tough as you try to get it near the table etc.
I dont have my car in front of me but if I remember 20mm is close to bones level or slightly below level, so you can use that as your guide as well
Dont stress too much about being a mm off here or there on collars and ballcups, it is the actual vehicle measurement that counts.
If you are reading 20mm ride height on the calipers, reading the correct camber to the tires, toe up front etc etc... that is more important than the 1.7mm it says the collar should be spaced, or the 21mm it says should be visibile on a turnbuckle etc..

I refilled the shocks and put everything back together. Set the 4mm and it worked. The ride height is at 20mm. Used a marked toothpick too and the bones are pretty much level. As I put the under-tray back on the it protrudes about 1mm lower. Otherwise all is sweet now. Its still running slighly nose up, which I think is normal.

i just placed my order for my ft b44.1 kit and i am looking for a good esc and motor turn and set up I'm not new to rc i race carpet and have a track in my backyard looking to get into the off road 10scale buggy racing scene looking for some input for a set up to start out with I'm looking at an 8.5 to a 6.5 turn trinity,orion,or reedy also with the esc lrp sxxx v tc , team orion vortex 2cell 260 amp any input would b great like i said new to the racing scene but still experienced what would be a good set up the i can turn down as i get used to is and boot it when i get comfortable any suggestions
