i put the AE springs back on my car and will test them out on a few runs on Friday. Since I've been running the Losi now for a bit, I should be able to see it if there are any big differences in lap times. Friday should be a practice night at the track so I probably can get in 2 or 3 packs with each shock setup.

Im trying to get rid of all the blue on the car....I found some STRC shock bushing but they are all the same length.........we need shorter ones for the rear of the car correct?

These look like the length of stock FT blue mounts on the front of car, I dont think they will work correctly for the rear??

It's very easy to do. I did it to all my turnbuckles on my old Losi vehicles.

What's the easiest way to strip the blue anodizing off the AE turnbuckles?

You could use the plastic bushings. I have them on my car and haven't noticed any difference in performance. Shock caps last longer and if I start noticing slop I just replace the $2 bushings.

I believe this only works on titanium. Shock bushings are aluminum.

Heres what im using.

I use a 4-40 x 1in flat head screw with a washer on the front for added clearance with the big bores.

Low profile 4-40 lock nut. you can find these in other colors too.

I use one of the 2mm spacers to get clearance when using big bore springs. You can also find these in other colors or use 2 ball stud washers.

Plastic shock bushings

I use the plastic nuts to hold it all in place.

I see both Ryans were rocking the Alum Hub tower C carbon fiber, what are the benefits over our standard FT plastic ones?
