TLR’s Dustin Evans Signs With JConcepts For 2012

Boom! TLR’s Dustin Evans signs with JConcepts for 2012.

Driver interview - Click Here

JConcepts is pleased to welcome 2011 ROAR National Champion Dustin Evans to the 2012 racing team. One of TLR’s top drivers, Dustin brings versatility to an already speedy JConcepts driver line-up. The Denver, Colorado, native has ascended through the World rankings and established himself as a winner while being one of the few drivers capable of competing in 7 different classes of competition.

TLR’s Dustin Evans struck early and often in 2011 with an Invitational victory at the Reedy International Race of Champions and maintained his winning ways at races such as the Short Course Showdown, JConcepts Fall Indoor Nationals and Hot Rod Shootout. Dustin peaked during the ROAR Off-Road Nationals where he was able to take home the prestigious 2wd modified National Championship.

Dustin will begin a busy 2012 race season for TLR / JConcepts as he looks to repeat at the Reedy Race of Champions and then immediately turn his attention to the Dirt Nitro Challenge where he will make a 2012 1/8th off-road debut while he readies for the IFMAR World Championships later this year.

“It’s an amazing time at JConcepts. Signing a driver of Dustin’s skill level and character has been a dream come true. Having the opportunity to stable one of the top drivers from both TLR and Team Associated at the same time gives us one of the most potent combinations in the industry. Dustin has the personality, flare and magic that we look for at JConcepts. I can’t wait to get started.” – Jason Ruona

“I am very excited to be running JConcepts tires/inserts for the 2012 season! I Have been running JConcepts tires for the past few months with great success and really looking forward to having a great 2012 with TLR/JConcepts” – Dustin Evans

Hey PW, what's the best 10th buggy tire for when there is just a little too much fluff and dust for barcodes. Was using flip outs but they were a lil skaty... they seem to do better when it's wet.

There is something in the works for AE buggies, but unfortunately nothing for the Kyosho.

I normally run DD's in those conditions with a shot of motor spray 5 minutes before the run .

I got some of then new Pressure Points in gold compound to try out at our indoor track. Its hard packed clay and normally medium traction. I glued them up and put them on my Losi XXX SC and took them for a spin. OMG I had amazing rear traction, I had so much that I will need to change my setup some because of the enormous traction I had. Can you say I need more steering.

I will be surely messing around more with these in the upcoming weeks of racing thats for sure. I actually had more traction with these than I do with the Gold Bar Codes I run a lot of the time. Well at least now I have more options to get traction at my local indoor track.

Any idea when more Green Compound SC Barcodes will be available? They've been out of stock for quite a while everywhere I've looked. They've been out of stock at at Tower for long that they've gone from taking them on backorder to simply calling them "unavailable."

I love the tires but I hate having to buy a six month supply in one shot because finding/buying them "on demand" seems to be a Jconcepts' recurring issue.
