I did some more hunting while I was bored, think I found some! These look a little weird though, used to seeing the "wrinkled" variety. I wonder if you use a heat gun on these, but they look too thick.

Price is... not great though.
You're better off without boots. They negatively affect the shock performance from what I understand

...maybe going to buy some boots.

I just noticed these are for the V2 shocks - should still fit just fine, yeah? Yeah.

I wouldn't think they'd affect performance much unless they were thick. Why do these look so damn thick though?!?

I just checked.
Dog bones level are about 23.5-24mm
Front arms level are about 24mm

Mine were just under level. I think it was 22mm's
I just adjusted them to 24mm (level) going to try that again wed with new motor system I just installed

Ok so I'm doing a whole clean down of my car I took off my shocks to clean between there and I noticed that the shock oil was really dirty so I'm decided I'm going to change it...

I race it and nothing else the track is a medium bite track with a decent amount of big and small jumps... Anyways could you guys help me decided what weight of shock oil I should use to use with the stock springs?

Thanks..

Also just stock springs for now...

Also I want to try and use what I have which is 30 and 45shock oil... Will either of those work or would I have to go buy new shock oil for waht I want to use it for?

45 will not be used on many us track - maybe on carpet tho.

oils that seem to be the "range" are 27.5-35wt

most common is 30wt in the front and 27.5wt in the rear of the buggy.

some people are now using 32.5/35 wt in the front of the buggy with a #1 piston, #2 piston most ran 30wt in the front.

ROFL. That's why I don't club race my 2wd and 4wd SCs anymore. Strictly buggies now unless there's a big event.

Now change types of tires to ones for a different surface with different foam and check it again

I just saw this on the Twittersphere -

http://www.teamassociated.com/cars_a...10/Worlds_Car/

Night and day difference between the 93-94 Worlds Car and the 2012 Worlds Car

I actually watched the video of the 1993 World Champs last night. Still great to watch how we used to race

why ?

I only use one type of tire and foam on the buggy for the track I race at.
I haven't raced at any other track and I am content with that...

thanks for the concern though.

The tires you run and the foam you run in your tires create a variable. That being said, the height of bones level on one person's b4 could be different on another person's car due to how tall the tires are. Be careful , quite a few giving advice on here are novices that think they know a lot more than they really do when they are fairly new to the hobby themselves.

Check with a ride height gauge. Don't eyeball it..they will deceive you.
