It has lots of torque, will keep pace with any car on the track, but for longevity, I installed a modified LRP heatsink and fan. It required some planning and fitting of the heatsink and the mounting of the fan was simply a screw through the fan and into the fins of the heatsink. The motor is a 540 size and there is no chance to use the supplied hardware bracket for the fan to mount it to the motor. It temps around 110 F after a full battery pack. I had to dial back the throttle for this track I run at it is actually too fast. I may drop down to a 13 or 12T pinion

You can use "any" motor with the MMP (talking 10 scale 550 cans and 540's) I would spend 60-70 bucks and buy the 1410 3800. Are you talking about the RTR Reedy motor?

Well that motor is double of what the cost of a new Castle 1410 is so I would go with the Castle.

The truck is on the lighter side of the 4x's. That 3800 1410 will be fine. There are a lot of guys runnin that motor on here.

Interesting that they'd let the 4-pole in...it's way more motor than the 550s... Once you get the 4-pole, you'll keep it for the 8th scale track too...

I'm running a protek 5600 and it fits fine, plus I have double stick tape at the bottom of the tray to remove some play and provide just a bit of cushion. I think as long as you keep the height to around 26MM it should be fine. it's got pleny of wiggle room for width and length.

I was winning with the stick pack set-up but I can move the truck around a bit more quicker with saddles.
I'm getting closer to justifying saddle packs. I have 3 stick packs that were just for the SC104x4, but i recently got the VMX 450 which uses the same batteries, plus some of the guys are trying to get 2wd stadium tuck class revived so I may be using the sticks in the Rustler as well.

I'm thinking doing the exoteck and saddles next month, want to try out the dual stage and center diff first so I can see what changes do what.

Im guessing you are talking about the saddle tray from the b44? If so then yes it will work you will just have to cut the middle part out.
