The mod Bonito we run has unbelievable bottom end ...more then any other .21 i have ever run...even on the 086/shorty header the bottom end is off the charts for a .21.....it feels more like a 28 down low, and ramps up on top really good.....We have a locked down track surface so grippy your shoes squeak and the Bonito eats up like nothing....

Is the Werks B6 still flavour of the month from you modified engines? If not, whats the pick of the bunch these days?
How many gallons running is reasonable to expect from one of them, does the modification shorten there life at all?
Also, do all the motors still come with hand lapped pistons?

Well I finally got to run my clockwork B5 yesterday for the first time and it ran great. I really lile this engine. I was getting right around 10-11 minutes a tank with the temps in the low 200's, 205,206,212. I thought that was pretty good for the temps being that low. The straight stretch wasn't very long so I didn't get to wind it out very much. I had 1 flame out all day and it just happen to be the 2nd lap of the main. My pit man got it fired back up and it ran flawless the rest of the race. I had a few people come up to me and say damn that thing is a beast. Thanks Neil for such a great engine. It made my day so much better not having to worry about tunning. I tunner on it when I first got there and it was good all day long.

Thanks, is the P5 too much for buggy though, seen a few vids on Youtube and they look to be all in Truggys. The track I run mainly is pretty low grip, dusty and bumpy. Video of track below, may help with suggestions of best motor??

It's very easy to tame an engine with clutch set up and pipe. There are also lots of wonderful functions on our radios that help allot. I am at that stage that I want all my engines to be truggy worthy and then I make adjustments for the buggy. The new M2C quick change clutch makes it super easy to swap engines back and forth if needed. If you don't run buggy and truggy than its a moot point but for the guys running both classes it's so much better to have an engine or a back up engine that will work with either vehicle. Just my opinion. I know lots of guys would rather have a tamer engine so they don't have to "experiment" with different clutch set ups.

The mod P5 is very powerful...but it also has great throttle modulation...so it is not hard to drive..it is not a light switch like some engines are.....It will only give as much power as you squeeze out of the trigger....

Hey Guys!
I got a chance to run my Clocked Bonito again in my truggy this past weekend. I was able to win the CRCRC warm up race at the factory. The engine is completely sick! I never had so many compliments about my power at an off road race ever!
Here's a comment from one of the racers at the event.
...but NOTHING compares to seeing and hearing Chicky's Clocked Bonito. I cannot say what's more impressive...seeing the engine's ridiculous power firsthand or watching Chicky harness the power around the high bite indoor track. The wail of his engine could be heard over the other 11 trucks in the show.
Thanks Neil!
