Well your wrong when you say that ue has a better selection of wheels, not only does SPI have almost 20 sweet designs, and they are super light... i think the motion ones are are lighter than any on the market! Not to mention a LIFETIME warranty?!?! who even does that! and the offset on his wheels are superior to anyone else and they can fly around corners!!! just go to his website or go to youtube and you will see proof. sorry bud you don't even compete! i guess if any one else is okay with just being a little better than stock then sure yours work, but if anyone actually wants to compete buy SPI!

I'm not usually a "branded customer" (meaning I try to keep all products I purchase of the same maker/brand). However in this case I must refute your claim on a number of points. First to claim that "SPI wheels are no where near as nice" offers no criteria to that statement. Why are they not so nice? Let me answer that for you, SPI racing wheels are at least a ten fold better than UE Maxx(s). Let me explain my reasoning, something you have failed to do: I have SPI Tri-Stars on my T Maxx, which I raced at diggers dungeon, coming in 2nd place. But here's the real kicker... after the race, the owner personally handed me $250 cash for coming in SECOND! That's something I do not see Ue maxx doing. SPI wheels are of superior make, material, and quality. But one of my favorite aspects is the customer service.... all for $100 cheaper? SPI has successfully gained a loyal patron, UE Maxx has not.
PS... SPI offers a lifetime warranty, UE MAXX better step up their game to compete.

Yeah it is kinda funny.
Ue sun 7's are 1 of the nicest rims you will see. Maybe we should open up a thread to see who votes for what. Both are lighter than stock. When he made his wheels,(before he quit) you were not aloud to run an offset. Still in most races you arent aloud to run an offset. So the offset ones are outta the question for racers. Everything he made was 2004 and earlier, that is amazing work on everything he made(vbs lightning racerx) no one will make any better maxx parts, because he was serious about his work. Integy rdlogics are junk. The only good brands for any parts are ue,flm, rpm, proline, progressive, kippster, and there are a few other good brands you can count on.
Ue wheels hold there value so much better than spi. Most of them can sell for more than there retail. I dont see spi wheels like that.
That is a big factor for alot of people. Because if they decide to sell there truck they want to get as much as they can.
If ue started making more parts for a more demanding truck or for more trucks. He would be rollin in dough, there is such a high demand for better parts. You know the big suprise of losi offsetting their center diff, well robin did that with the razorback way before them. Anywhere from 5-8 years maybe more, because of all the prototypes.
Ya good for you. Second place who came 1st the guy with the ue wheels.
Best wheel and best manufactorer ever for any maxx SO FAR. Maybe someone better will come along and out do him.
Ue did have a ok lifetime warranty but it just costed so much to make the parts thats why you have to pay half price. It always took a while.

I’m one of those guys that just can never get enough… horsepower, that is. Our HemiTruckClub.com project truck started as a stock ’03 Hemi Ram with 345 horsepower at the flywheel. That was fine for a while, but we soon found out we wanted more power… so a cold air intake and a cat-back exhaust were installed, which bumped up the power to approximately 365-370 at the flywheel. Then along came the Superchips programmer, which added another 20 horsepower.

im confused so you think the wheels are better because they cost more ? or because you say they can be sold for more then what you paid for them ? because either way that seems kinda weird to say the least , how can you say you would get more money out of the UE wheels when all you have to do is win a race when SPI sponsors you and you already tripled your investment , somehow i doupt that would be the case selling the used rimes you have , not to mention if you won every year with SPI the amount of return would be unreal. i understand you like the wheels but just because you like them does not make them great , everyone has their favorites for sure and where is the proof of this so called return on investment ?
anyhow we can argue till the cows come home but i think one thing is for sure SPI wheels perform really well and look great doing it
just because something is cheaper does not make it no good , they are machined out of the same material

Starting with a solid billet of 6061-T6 Aircraft Aluminum we CNC machine super strong wheels with 5mm more offset for your Maxx. Combined with Proline BowTies or StepPins makes these a lethal combination.
Features:
Polished to a high luster
Super Strong and can take even the worst abuse. We've designed the wheel to withstand a simulated 500lb lateral impact force. Extensive abuse in the real world has yet to produce a failure.
When combined with a tire like Pro-Line's BowTie the racing wheels are 50 grams lighter than the stock Traxxas tires and wheels.
NEW: The recent arrival of Tamiya's new monster truck the Terra Crusher prompted me to strap on a set of our Racing wheels. They fit perfect. The offset chosen for this wheel matches perfectly with the Terra Crusher. The real bonus is the weight savings. Switching a SMRW & Pro-Line Bow Tie against the stock Tamiya wheel & tire will lighten your Terra Crusher by 2.25lbs!
Here are the specs. How much lighter are the spi ones? Are they stronger?

sadly i never got an email back regarding wheels, so i purchased another set of wheels instead.
I asked about weight on the "racing wheels" just never got a response, no biggy im sure lots of other people buy them so my business wont be missed.
