Sounds like you are fouling your glowplugs, and your ignitor is not strong enough to burn the contamination off.......This is especially true for the #6 plugs as they use a thicker element wire and tend to require more juice to burn hot.....I have seen many guys throw away perfectly good glowplugs just because their ignitor was not strong enough for the #6 plugs......Types of fuel and how rich the engine is being run will all affect how clean the glowplug element stays....the dirtier the element the more juice it requires to glow... run rich for too long and you will foul the plugs...
I believe I have fallen victim to this situation more than one time!! What igniter do you recommend? Nova's and RB's seem real bad. O"Donell do not seem to be effected as bad. I actually switched to T97's and T77's beause the motor was hard to start! I thought it was bad plugs.
