I remember when the lightened options came out. I installed them on the truck and I could actually tell a difference. The engine spooed up easier and faster and the truck just felt a little more responsive. Now on the buggy I had to take some of the light weight options off because it made the car to where I couldn't drive it. It was too responsive and too light. I think it does make a difference. It's not as huge of a difference on the truck like the buggy.
I never had all of the lightened stuff on my truck at the same time. Just pieces added here and there. Maybe that's why I couldn't tell. There are so many variables...new clutch, tune , tires , track conditions. I think that if the OP really wants to see the difference, he has to try it all in one day and changing out all those outdrives at the track is probably the biggest challenge. It could be done, but I wouldn't want to.
To the OP: Frank may have a point here. If you install all the lightened parts at once, you would probably notice.
