Questions?? Lipo Connectors

So i have my LiPos coming and i have the kind that just have three holes in them. 2s with the middle hole for balancing reasons i am guessing.

Back when i raced in the uk we used to use something called Corally connectors that look very similar to these connectors. I think sometimes people call them Orion connectors here.
I found you can order them on Hobby king etc...
Now from what i read they are 4mm? is that right?

How big is the little one in the middle?

When you guys use this connector do you still use a deans type plug or do you go straight in from the speed control. It does not seem right having 2 connectors on the way to the speed control.

Anyone know where i can see a good picture of a pro racer set up connectors with this type of plug in?

Do you ever have trouble with them popping out after a good chassis slap after a jump?

Thanks for you help
