I concur with this info. I have a few Maxamps and it states on the case to charge at 2c (which I'm guessing = 2 x mah).

I still charge them at 1c because I don't like buying things twice. If I can be patient in the charging process and get more life out of my battery... no brainer

I had a pack smoke once, took it out and disposed of it, it never caught fire.

I'm kind of a Gens Ace fan. They seem to be ok. The case really bothers me for 2 reasons. One, the gold marble paint scheme is horrid. Two, my case needed to be taped shut after about 3 charges. Pack isn't puffing, they just don't stay together.
if those darned batteries are ever in stock..... ffffft
