It went 10 feet and died. Grabbed it no lights. Brought it back over to the bench unplugged the sensor wire plugged it back in, pulled the battery plugged it into the laptop, light came on. Looked at the settings. It's still running in stock mode. I haven't tried any other settings. Pulled the wire plugged it back into the receiver, as soon as the battery leads touched, smoke came rolling out of it. Didn't even drive it.
Oh boy, that sucks. It sounds like there was more than just a software issue from the get-go, so hopefully the replacement will be trouble free for you, like your servo.

Yes, I'll agree. I hope they take care of you.

Oh and boo to castle!!!

My RX8 is going strong!!!
Castle makes great products, and I felt the MMP was super smooth, but the MMM hesitates and cogs just a bit on takeoff. It's just enough to be annoying. Also, if you're rolling backwards, there's a lot of hesitation before the motor will get the car moving forward again. This doesn't occur with the RX8 at all. Now, if Castle will build a sensored setup into the MMM like they did the MMP, they'll have a product that will really give the RX8 a run for its money.

We really need a description of the noise, and does it only occur in a corner? If it's only while cornering, I'd think it would be something with the diffs.

I tend to agree, but I seem to recall that when the MMM first came out, it had its fair share of problems too. Either way, at this point in time, I'd tend to agree with you. However, driving with the RX8 turns the RC8Be into a totally different car.

It's a capacitor for the receiver. It prevents glitching under WOT.

Very good advice.

I'm trying to figure out exactly how much to shorten the wires. I'm hesitant to shorten the battery wires, but I'm also hesitant to shorten the ESC wires...
