I wouldn't say 'correct' as much as 'optimized'....

These chargers have been thru a lot of beta testing (many, many hrs by lots testers) and one thing that impressed me was how much iCharger (Junsi Electronics) incorporated into the chargers from all the testing and feedback. Thats the reason the default settings are good. I use an iCharger 3010b and I can't really recall needing to re-set anything from default settings.
