Negative on the too much oil part. I do follow the drake video and the track I race at does not have great landings, so I run zero rebound. This keeps the truck stable on the landings. If shocks are feeling different by the end of the race I think it's more to do with the fuel weight differences more than the temperatures, etc.
Shocks can heat up a lot after longer mains. I would think it's not a fuel weight issue.
