Looking back at the first post on this thread, the reason for a motor limit was for beginner drivers to learn to drive better with smaller motors. Motor size cannot dictate a person's ability. If that were the case, all the guys winning in super trucks would be running 3.5 to 4.5's.
I would have to agree with Gabe about the whole thing. If the club creates classes based on motor size, weight and battery limits will be next. Are we gonna be teching every battery just to make sure they are within voltage?
In my mind, the whole scenario loses the "club" feeling; and begins to take on a sanctioned event theme. I am just there to have fun with fellow racers and my toy truck. I am not too concerned with if my fellow racers are 2 grams over weight and running a lipo with 7.6v.
