and could you imagine buying a nova rod at $55 a pop every other weekend or every gallon?
get one for the break in all your engines and after the first 1/2 - 1 gallon of low to mid rpm put the new one in. I've had rods that have lasted years litterally, I had an R01 till two years ago, and it was perfect, gave it to a friend and used it in his (old)engine until the engine wore out - the rod was still good enough.

I once put a new bushing on a sirio rod... the problem is that the bushings you usually find are ment for low rpm, or high lube (or both) situations, the bushing for a 250 rpm conveyor is not the same as the one in a 30k-40k rpm nova at full song, and it simply breaks, we tryed as I said with a sirio with the best bushing that WE could find comercially (yeah the point was to get it cheap and locally) and both shattered in pieces.

I would like to make a needle bearing.
