the problems you are having are definitely not the engine , as far as the collet i really coudn't tell ya . i would definitely not recommend a 300* preheat douglas

you should not have to get a pre heat over 220*

i am pretty sure there is some gobbly gook inside the engine if it is so tight that you cant even come close to turnin it over
