Carb is set at 3.75 hsn and 3 lns 1mm open, I only have 2 tanks of fuel though it.

your slide barrel is not closing all the way , check your linkage . if thats not it , it wouldn't be the front bearing , that does not create that much air leak . hell the on road engines have a metal shield in the front , there is no front seal . i have heard of a few sticky carbs on the bf engines but nothing that cant be remedied
if the head is that loose you will find that there will be a good load of fuel seapage from the underhead .
