Hey guys, I have a mamba max 5700 in my xxx-t. I am using a smaller 3s lipo and it runs great.

I wanted to go brushless for my 8 year old son but I knew he didnt need a crazy system so I bought him a cheaper EZrun system. It is rated for up to 3s lipo. We ran a bunch of 6 7 and 8 cell nimh batteries in his stampede with the ez run and it ran great.

Today we thought, why not try the lipo because it IS supposed to be able to handle it. Well needless to say, after about 2 wheelies and 10 seconds of running the motor sounded really choppy and it will only go maybe 5 mph. It wont reverse. I thought it was the trans so I disasembled it and it is definately the motor because I ran it free of any connection besides the pinion gear and the same result. Slow choppy speed forward. No reverse. Any ideas? Motor dead? Esc dead? Anything to fix it?
