New charger setup
I use:
2s shorties (10th scale) around 5000mah
2s race packs (8th scale) around 8-10000mah
3s soft pack (crawlers) around 50000mah
i have a SkyRC d100v2 and have used it at home on AC and at the track on a leisure battery.
the DC in has failed so looking for something new.
I have noticed a lot of the upmarket chargers are DC only.
I have a spare computer 1300w psu that I can easily take one of the 8pin connectors and slap on a xt90 to (already done that actually)
is there a reason for my use case not to go ahead and get an icharger dx6 and at home charge my batteries using the PSU and at the track continue to use my leisure battery?
I understand that the icharger dx6 has a max input of 65amps, and an 8pin connector is likely to only support 150w which @12v is roughly 12.5amps.
so I guess whilst my psu can output 108amps on the 12v rail. A single cable isn’t going to handle charging multiple batteries at a decent rate and it’ll probably melt the cables from the charger to the psu as the charger pulls the amps to charge the batteries
