What you said makes sense. I just sow many pics from factory drivers running different variations of shock aligment on the tower.
When you see that on many pics it might be something not to overlook, that's why i came here and ask
I can't speak for the factory drivers but definitely seen the ae shocks used on the yz. This might require shimming if they use short shock standoffs, it keeps the shock cap from hitting the tower and puts the shock back inline close to kit.
