I remember being the younger guy but now I'm the older guy who on occasion turns back the clock and gives the young guys a run here and there.
I do have a question for you and if you guys messed with this. Looking at other brand car setups on shocks and I see especially on Losi and AE some of the guys run a 3 hole piston but then drill a 4th at 1mm or a 2 hole piston and add a 1mm hole? Not sure if you guys even bothered with something like that. The other thing is I wonder if Orloski will post his 2018 Reedy setup because I would like to see what a difference a year had made to him setup wise vs the 2017 Reedy race or how much different your setup is from your normal setup. My thought is once I get it dialed at my home track the other tracks I race at in the winter are close so I will only need very minor changes from track to track.
We tested quite a few shock pistons at SDRC and OCRC over the week. we kept coming back to the 1.5/1.6 3 hole. I do want to test something like the Tekno pistons... 2 hole with 4 small holes. Im curious how they would feel slow speed vs high speed dampening.
About the only major changes to my std setup was 500/350 oil and red springs all around, rear shocks laid down all the way, short rear link with 4mm rear inner washers. Ill put together my setup and get Mikeys from the race. I believe all of us, Michal insluded ran pretty close to the same setup at OCRC.
