Ive just ordered the electronics for my S104 evo that has been sitting idle for a couple of weeks:

Trackstar 7.5T (4200kv) v2 Brushless Motor w/20T Pinion (Stock 87T Spur)
Hobbyking X-Car 120a ESC (Hobbywing Xerun 2.1/Quicrun 120a Clone)
2x Turnigy Ultimate Nano-tech 4600mah 90c Shorty/s
Savox 1258TG

Once i get it up and running as well as get used to the faster speeds i may start changing stuff, but what is a good starting point or changes to make? Increase timing? Bigger pinion? Lower EPA?

Any help on setting up the car for a medium size, hard packed outdoor track would be awesome.

Cheers
welcome to the club. We are here to help obviously.
Do you have the center slipper of center diff?
I'd probably start off with a milder motor. The S14-2 based car loves 13.5t. you can always add boost and turbo settings in your esc(if it is adjustable).
As for base chassis setup, start with the kit setting and tune from there. What track are you running on what tires?
