Can someone please explain the difference between a Just stock Esc, a stock spec esc and what am I allowed to have. I understand that the Just stock has punch but now boost or turbo. And I have idea what the Stock Spec has and what I can use. Thanks In advance.
For stock spec classes you must have an ESC that is on ROAR's approved ESC listing as you will need an ESC that has a blinky mode, which just means 0 boost and turbo. So you can have any high amp rating ESC and use it for a spec class as long as it's approved and blinky mode is turned on.

On the other hand, the Just Stock esc is only able to handle the ampreage that stock rated motors put out. If you tried to use the Just Stock with a mod motor you would fry the ESC.

So, if you are thinking about possibly running mod classes in the future, you should think about getting an ESC that can handle mod motors while also having a blinky setting to give you flexibility in the future.

Hopefully this makes sense!
