I have 2 questions. Should I use the cartridges with the long bottom shaft guide or tkr6146B which has the shorter bottom piece for more shock travel (but it is less shaft support)?
Also what delrin shock piston size would be best? The option part specified in the manual Amain says is discontinued which looked to be 8x1.3. Anybody have a suggestion? 10x1.1 maybe? Or is that Gna be too much pack?
As far as what I would consider a very good shock upgrade, the metal cartridge caps are first on my list. I had a plastic one break very early on, which resulted in a lot of damage to that particular shock. Caused a bent shaft, broke the thin inset lip on the bottom of the shock body, and tweaked the piston.
I also got the Delrin cartridge set, and pistons, alloy spring adjusters and caps. Compared with the quality of the rest of the kit, I felt Tekno really did their model a disservice with the included shock parts. Not quite ready for prime time IMHO.
