I would shoot Xray an email especially since it seems a wide spread problem.
If that doesn't work, I would look into some shim stock. You can pick up various thickness sheets at hobby shops in Aluminium, stainless, brass, and ordinary steel. Or you could try aluminium foil from the supermarket. You can get two thickness versions: the ordinary el cheapo one and heavy duty. Cut a strip to size, make sure it fits with the bearing in and then use retaining compound like Loctite or similar to glue the foil in (not the bearing). The foil will stay there for good.
You kinda only have one shot at this, so you have to be precise and careful. I use a sacrificial bearing, superglue the shim stock to it (before cutting anything), then cut nicely with a scalpel around the bearing, leaving the strip I need attached to the outer race. Drop the bearing in with retaining compound nicely smeared around the outside of the strip (make sure the bearing support is clean), let the retaining compound go off and set, then use flashback to dissolve the superglue and take out the sacrificial bearing, clean everything, done.
But like I said, I would take it up with Xray first.
