My opinion: (Take it for what its worth)

Personal preference. Think of tire foam as tire pressure in a real race cars tires. There is a starting point, but has to be adjusted according to the driver. Me personally I like harder compounds, to me the car feels more consistent. I have found the JCon gray inserts the best for me, but Pro-line Blue are a close second.

A set of JCon gray inserts that have been cut out of a set of old tires are my favorite hands down. You could also cut the foams as PW has discussed earlier in this thread, I have a set in one of my sets of tires now and they are going to be cut out and put in a new set of tires soon, I cant wait for that.
