My guess would be black only, but I will have to double check and let you know.

The new b5m chassis is stated as 23g lighter then stock. Is that factory lite or the stock stock. How does it compare to the factory lite chassis for weight

It's 23g lighter than the original stock B5M and basically the same as the Factory Lite, but it's stiffer than the Factory Lite chassis .

All the new stuff is scheduled for the end of the year. There will be towers for both gullwing/flat arm geometry.

Paul,

I am looking to pickup a T5M and I am looking at the JC rack. I heard they were bending before. Were they updated and is there anyway to tell if I buy one that is it the "new" version?

I haven't heard of any issues with the alloy steering racks, but we did have some bending issues with the alloy bell-crank. I believe we are scheduled to have the updated bell-cranks end of next week or the following week.

I can post a pick of one once they come in, so you can see the difference.

This is probably a dumb question but how do you know if a harder or softer insert is needed? Is it something you just have to try to see what's better or is there a rule of thumb?

My opinion: (Take it for what its worth)

Personal preference. Think of tire foam as tire pressure in a real race cars tires. There is a starting point, but has to be adjusted according to the driver. Me personally I like harder compounds, to me the car feels more consistent. I have found the JCon gray inserts the best for me, but Pro-line Blue are a close second.

A set of JCon gray inserts that have been cut out of a set of old tires are my favorite hands down. You could also cut the foams as PW has discussed earlier in this thread, I have a set in one of my sets of tires now and they are going to be cut out and put in a new set of tires soon, I cant wait for that.
