It isn't hard to get a B5M down to this weight right now with current products. It isn't, and wasn't ever about being light. It's about carrying speed, and having grip available to do it.
Stock buggies have never legally been run that light. ROAR legal minimum has been the same as long as I can remember. Been racing since '85.
Light weight is always faster. If weight makes a car faster than something is wrong with it. Adding weight takes away grip, not add it. This is why no Motorsport has a maximum weight, only a minimum weight.
