Hey everyone. I tried to throw some monster truck trenchers on my et48 for some fun. They were 17mm but when tightened down they would not turn. Anyone have any ideas of why these did not fit? The guys at my LHS said 17mm is 17mm (obviously this is not true). And also would you guys know of any monster truck wheels that will fit?

My Pro-Line Desperado 3.8" 17mm 1/2" offset wheels have a deeper hex than dish wheels. I noticed they rubbed a little bit on the wheel hubs, but it didn't cause them to not turn. They have plenty of clearance around the suspension. Did you over tighten the wheels?

I wouldn't say I over tightened them. I mean I tightened them as much as I do my normal truggy wheels. I couldn't find the offset on them on the package so maybe that's it.
I believe Overkill is right, the Pro-Line wheels probably have a deeper hex than most of the race wheels out there. Your best solution is to buy some wider hexes, there's a +1mm and +2mm option available, part numbers TKR5071B and TKR5701C respectively. Since you're using them for fun I'd buy the +2's to ensure the wheels are far enough away from the hubs to not cause interference. You don't want to buy the +1's and have them not be wide enough and waste your money, and time.
