I ran mine today on a 100'x80' 1/8 track , always set my timer during practice at 12 mins, ambient temps were in the mid 70s and my motor never got over 135 degrees. So I don't see a need for ME to run an extra servo plus gear for brakes. But I drive a bit different than some, if I want to slow down quick I'll throw the truck sideways an most of the time don't touch the brakes, you'll slow down real fast. Not saying it won't work for you, depends a lot on your driving style. If your the guy that hammers the brakes at every turn then mechanical brakes might be perfect for you!
Will a Gen 2 RX8 run two high-powered Servo's, or would you have to run an external BEC?
