Found my problem with the servo link. The previous owner had the links too close together, which was putting too much pressure on the cups. The manual clearly says to keep a 2mm gap there.
That was me...my bad. That said I'm not sure why I had it that way, the B4.2 I still have is at about 1.5mm (I checked after you pmed me). Honestly I don't remember it binding though.
