My son and I did not have the same experience with the chassis stiffeners. Running the Top Gear Spring Shoot Out Cavalieri setup with the shelf and inline electronics, and removing some lead (rear triangles, behind the battery) to compensate for the extra 35 grams of the chassis stiffeners, we had plenty of steering. This is on high bite clay indoor, clay suburbs with rear inserts up front on my car, and gold barcodes with rear inserts up front on my son's car. My car is ~ 1530 grams and my son's is a bit lighter at 1510. The cars are very nimble but still easy to drive consistently in 17.5.
Im not sure if you have ever ran on ozite carpet but other than astro turf its thr most traction you can get it has probably the same amount of traction as your track at thr moment because opening night is tonight also we run 7-8 ft lanes and the drive line is generally small 2 ft wide in most places so on an open track ya maybe they help but indoor at the moment no when traction comes up in a qeek or so ill write another post about it with them but until then its a no go
