That's why I use the yellow seal ceramic bearings. Easier to just copy and paste:

I felt the same way till I put a brand new set in, grabbed a wheel full of pole and crushed the ceramic balls in the bearing. Personally I will not run ceramic bearings in an 1/8 off road situation, but again thats a personal preference. 1/10 stadium truck or buggy, thats a different story.
