I soooo hear you on that!!! My son races Novice/Sportsman and he originally ran a Blitz about a year ago (well, we both did, thats how we got our start...both ran blitz's, him in Novice, me in pro2) And he HATED short course lol. He wanted a buggy in the worst way...I started him out with an ECX Boost, Novak 17.5 He got creamed by the trucks all the time....but I didn't feel bad because he was driving a $100 buggy lol. It actually taught him a valuable lesson...STAY THE HELL AWAY from everyone else lololol. He is a PRO at passing cleanly now (killed the novice class routinely with the b4.1 worlds we just sold) and now he is driving a b44.1 getting ready to make his entry into 4mod club racing. He even ran with the 2mod buggy guys for 4-5 races, and those guys were impressed that he was able to run with them, in traffic, and for the most part...keep things clean. He would do un-predictable stuff trying to get out of peoples way, but I chalked that up to him not being used to being passed haha
Anyways, I say get your daughter into the buggy...The kids seem to be able to drive them better than the trucks. I've seen that in a few other kids at the local track that have kind of "taken after" what my son and I have been doing....and it works!
