Why don't you just buy the new Corally they just released? SMC (I think was them) used to make a 1s saddle pack for this very reason, t-bar cars. I don't think they are made anymore though...
We already bought the last AE and CRC, the SP12X is more a "challenge". It has alrady been used with a lipo by a driver without any mod so it's possible. We'll see when it arrives. And speedzone which is the brand you're talking about for the 1s saddles is thinking about releasing them again I even did a thread for that and contacted Gavin Creado:
