Default Who would be interesed in 1S SADDLE PACKS for their t-bar designed pan cars?

Hi,

everything is in the question.

Many drivers are stuck with their t-bar pan cars designed for nimh and no brand is making a 1s saddle lipo pack anymore.

I'm in contact with someone from Speedzone who did these packs and hesitate to put them in production again.

The 1/12 category needs more drivers, and t-bar cars are cheap. It would allow a lot of new drivers to run the category, what do you think?

Link cars are getting pretty cheap too. We've added many new racers by running slower motors.

We can do both . If there were more categories with slower motor AND available 1s saddle lipos it would basically mean that everybody could run the class. Everybody. 1/12 needs it, there will always be t-bar cars somewhere and they can still be competitive in racing!

I would like to purchase one. I like the lipos as I infrequently run my cars and never conditioned the nimh batteries properly. Without a lipo battery this car will just be a tinker toy.

I race off road with a buddy who is into 1/12 oval. While looking on Craigslist I came across a couple of 1/12 t bar AE cars with parts. I think the price was like $80. He ended up getting them and offered one to me (finders fee lol). I am not into oval so I said no. If these packs were available I would love to run an older t car. I have interest in 1/12, even considered a CRC XTI which I feel is a great price for a new car. The cash layout for a new car I'm not sure how often I could run is just not worth it for me. If these packs were available YOU WOULD see an increase in 1/12 racers. Speedzone please make these packs

A couple of years Speedzone sold 1s saddle packs. But I think the demand for the 1s saddle pack wasn't high so it was discontinued.

Speedzone posted on the 12th forum 1 or 2 months ago to see who would be interested in 1s saddle packs again.

I have a 1s saddle pack from Speedzone and ran my 12LC most of last year.

This is the last pm I received from Gavin from Speedzone. He posted it YESTERDAY

"Hi Eric,

I am thinking about doing them again if there is enough demand. I am just not sure I will have enough of people interested since mainstream is now 1S straight packs.

Thank you.

Gavin"

So if you really want these packs he just needs to see how big is the interest.

Thanks a lot for your feedback, we can make it happen!

Imagine your old t-bar car coming BACK TO LIFE!

There is a guy at my track that ran quite competitively with a standard pack on one side of the chassis and electronics on the other. Saddle packs aren't required for tbar cars.

You could put nimh batteries on a link car too, that doesn't mean it's ideal

I see what you mean but saddles would allow all t-bar drivers to run lipos, in every case.

For quite a while I ran a Serpent S120 T-bar car with the current "stick" LiPo pack down one side, electronics down the other. The car ran fine with this layout, even though the battery hung off the chassis a little bit.

Running used out of date chassis probably isn't "ideal" either but if you are looking for an easy and inexpensive way to get people into 1/12th. I know mounting a battery any way other than transverse at the back of the chassis is crazy. What could associated, serpent, crc, etc be thinking?
